IP & SIP Network Speakers
Network speakers turn a passive camera system into one that can intervene. Paired with a VMS or an analytics trigger, an operator can issue a live talk-down the moment someone enters a restricted area, which resolves most trespass and loitering events without dispatching anyone.
Two integration paths matter when you choose a model. IP speakers that integrate directly with the video management system are the simplest option when talk-down is initiated from the camera view. SIP speakers register to a phone system or SIP server, which suits sites that want announcements from a handset or an existing paging platform. Some models support both.
Coverage is driven by output level and horn dispersion, not just wattage. Outdoor yards, lots and loading docks need horn-style units with weather-rated housings; interior corridors and retail floors are usually better served by lower-output units that stay intelligible without distortion.
Nearly all of these are PoE powered, and high-output horns can draw more than a standard PoE port supplies, so verify the class against your switch or use a dedicated injector.
