4MP NDAA License Plate Recognition Camera

$1199.99 USD — In stock

A dedicated license plate recognition camera for gate arms, entry and exit lanes, parking enforcement and community entrances — built to produce a readable plate rather than a pretty picture of a car.

Specified for

The NSS-4MP-LPR is a commercial-grade NDAA-compliant license plate recognition camera engineered for accurate vehicle identification in demanding security environments.

Built around a high-performance 1/1.8" CMOS sensor with a motorized 8–32mm autofocus lens, this camera is optimized for capturing license plates on drive lanes, entrances, parking lots, apartment complexes, industrial facilities, and commercial properties.

Advanced imaging features including 120dB true WDR, Smart IR, digital defog, and low-light performance down to 0.002 Lux help maintain clear plate capture in challenging lighting conditions, including headlights, shadows, and nighttime operation.

Integrated allowlist/blocklist functionality, vehicle detection analytics, alarm I/O, audio I/O, and ONVIF compatibility make this camera ideal for access control integrations, remote monitoring systems, and enterprise surveillance deployments.

Designed for real-world deployments, the NSS-4MP-LPR features an IP67 and IK10-rated metal housing for long-term outdoor reliability.

Installer notes

Spec it as a capture point, not an overview camera

An LPR camera is aimed tightly at the plate zone and locked to a fast shutter so moving plates stay sharp. It will not give you a usable wide view of the vehicle or driver. Plan a second overview camera on the same lane for context.

Angle and distance decide whether it reads

Keep the horizontal and vertical angle to the plate shallow and mount long and low rather than close and steep. Our LPR sizing guide walks through pixels per foot, shutter speed by vehicle speed and night-time plate glare.

NDAA compliance for federal and publicly funded work

This camera is NDAA compliant and suitable for federal, municipal, K-12, transit and utility projects where Section 889 applies. Compliance documentation for submittal packages is available on request.
